"HAVOC" AND OTHER NEWS!

Hey, hey, hey, as Fat Albert would say!

I've had questions recently on the follow-up Crisis Sequence Novel: HAVOC, as well as a question on the DESCENDANTS SAGA in general. Also, readers have been looking for the sequel to A World Within," for some time...how about a bullets list!!
  • First of all, I'm actually beginning work on HAVOC now! I hope to have it out later this year, but I'm not sure exactly when it will be, yet. You see, I'm also working on the "World Within" sequel right now, and I'm back in college attempting to finish my Bachelor's degree in Psychology in order to apply for Physician Assistant school. I've worked as a Surgical Technologist for nearly 20 years and PA is a natural progression for me. Needless to say, I've got a lot of work ahead of me, and continuing to write novels is part of that....What? You thought novelists were paid so well that they didn't need daytime jobs? HA, HA, HA, HA! Unfortunately, that's just not the reality for most novelists. But anyway, I'm working on both novels and trying to get them out there. To be honest, I'm still not quite sure where HAVOC is going to end up...CRISIS definitely shoved Brody West, aka the Watcher, more into the focus of the story, and the "zombies" are making a nice transformation into something much more "supernatural" than you might have first suspected...remember this is all still DESCENDANTS SAGA. People thought I had flipped the script on them with Crisis Sequence, but NOT SO :) Anyway, look for it later this year, as well as a sequel for "A World Within."
  • Secondly, I received a theological question regarding the DESCENDANTS SAGA as a whole...specifically, why I hold to the view that "the Sons of God, mentioned in Genesis 6, are angels rather than being simply mighty men, or the "Sons of Seth." So, I thought I would take the time to answer that here. First of all, the phrase, "Sons of God," is mentioned several times in the old testament. (Job 1:6, Job 2:7, Job 38: 7) In each of these references, we find that angels are clearly being spoken of...particularly, in Job chapters 1 & 2 as Satan appears with these "Sons of God" before the Lord himself. Clearly, we are in a supernatural setting here before God's throne and Satan is not standing there with mortal men. Also in Job 38:7, God is demanding of Job answers concerning knowledge about the foundation of the world...something Job as a mortal had essentially no knowledge about...and we find the Sons of God shouting for joy at the creation of the heavens and the Earth...clearly, not mortal men. So, if every other reference in the Old Testament has angels in mind then why not Genesis 6? Even in Genesis chapter 6 we have a separation: the "Sons of God" and the "Daughters of men." Whey did the Lord use this type of language, if he was simply referring to mortal men and mortal women? He could have just said, "men and women." Now, is this view something that I am dogmatic about? No...I admit that I could be wrong. But I still feel that this is the correct interpretation, and the bible doesn't appear to disagree. Still, it's speculation...but it sure makes a better series of novels don't it?
Stay tuned for updates on "HAVOC" and "The Wielder King" coming later this year...I hope! Don't forget to check out recent additions to the Audible library for my novels. A Strange Tale is recently out, as well as Hallowed Be Thy Name Omnibus Edition. I'm hoping to have a narrator for ALLIANCE soon to finish off the Descendant audiobooks, and RAGE and CRISIS are already out for Crisis Sequence!

Projects IN THE Works

At the moment a lot is happening!

Fallen Audiobook is in production: I've heard the first installment from Narrator / Producer, John LeBlanc, and it sounds fantastic! Even though I've written and read the book over and over by now, I was riveted hearing it in pristine audio.

Minor Edits are going on for all of the Descendant Saga Novels...no story changes, just another round to clear up any misspelled words, etc...

I've got another project in the works also, but its under wraps for the time being.

And Diabolical, the first Descendants Saga Aftermath novel, is a WIP that's partially complete with much more to do...

So, a lot of items on my plate at the moment, but that's a good thing. Stay Tuned for updates on the FALLEN AUDIOBOOK, release date and where you can find it. I'm expecting great things for all of the Descendant Novels as they come alive in Audio Format.

HALLOWED BE THY NAME

Hello Everyone, I've been busy writing as always it seems and I've just released a new Christian Thriller, Action, Horror novel entitled "HALLOWED BE THY NAME."

"Feeling sure he has finally cracked the secrets of man's evolution, Dr. Trenton Hallowed uses himself as a guinea pig for his new genetic mutagen. He soon finds himself upon the threshold of unbelievable power. But a vicious beast is waking within him. An increasing number of people turn up brutally murdered in the lower districts of the city as Trenton celebrates new success. Jonathan Hallowed, the victim of a mob hit during one of Trenton Hallowed's exhibitions, wakes in a morgue drawer wrapped in a body bag. His flesh is riddled with bullet wounds, yet he lives. Jonathan must figure out what has happened to him and why the police are calling his cousin Trenton a vicious murderer. Even worse, Jonathan may be the only one who can stop him."

HALLOWED BE THY NAME - PAPERBACK COPY
This has been a little bit of a departure from the YA stuff I've been working on, but I've really enjoyed it. As always, the story zoooms along with plenty of action.

*SAMPLE: PERDITIONS GATE*

WRITING SAMPLE: "Perditions Gate: Escape from New Eden."
--------------------------------------------------------------
It was a dreary day out, which in England was not an uncommon happening, but for Jason it was one of his worst days. Having to bury his closest friend was as depressing an event as he had ever experienced. The London Necropolis, Brookwood Cemetery, was the final resting place of many notable people, but that provided no comfort.
There was no one there to mourn Jerome Brown that day, other than his special ops team leader, Jason Night. Four H8 robot counterparts worked the coffin into its place using a lift. They had been the pallbearers for Jerome’s coffin, yet they cared nothing for their deceased cargo.
Alfred stood next to Jason at the gravesite. He appeared as the late fifty-ish butler with graying, wavy hair and a suit with overcoat. A pair of wire rim glasses completed the look. Alfred actually seemed more interested in the robots working the site than anything else.
“A newer model, but still inferior,” said Alfred in his human guise as the dark knight’s manservant. It was a favorite phrase of Alfred’s. Jason often wondered if Alfred really felt the pride he exhibited over his own advanced modifications and obvious superiority. It couldn’t be anything more than the nuances of his special programming, he thought. Maybe that’s all that makes up my personality over anyone else’s, a few variations in the chemical reactions of my brain, a little different pattern in the firing of neurons. Maybe Alfred isn’t much different from a real man in that respect.
The plain stone marker simply said, Jerome Brown, died 2094. It seemed so empty, he thought as he stood staring at the tombstone—nothing about his friendship, his bravery in countless highly dangerous secret missions. Nothing was left to the world of Jerome Brown as a man. After all of his courage and loyalty, countless hours of hard work had only earned him a cold piece of granite and a hole in the ground.
To the public, Jerome Brown was the owner of a bakery in London. He had been on vacation in New Rome and was gunned down by a common street thief. This was his epitaph. It was all the world was allowed to know. Jason held the Vellum in his hand that showed the news article pulled from a local newspaper’s world wide mind portal. He wondered what the news would report when he died. Local, New Rome coffee shop owner dies, perhaps?
Alfred remained by his side, as always. “Sir, we should be going. You don’t want to keep Ms. Cross waiting.” Alfred knew what no person, other than Jerome, had known. He knew about Sarah Cross.
“You’re right, Alfred, time to go.”
They both turned and left the H8 robots to their work, filling in the grave. As they passed other markers on the way out, Jason caught the phrase, Rest in Peace, on more than a few. To him, it seemed more of a question—after all; did anyone know if they really were resting, did they have peace? These were questions he didn’t have the answers to and had no idea where they might be found. Seeing Sarah again would lift his spirits.
